ESSENTIAL TIPS WHEN LEARNING ENGLISH Learning a new languaje can be dauting, luckly there are some tips that can be helpful to develop your skills in an effective way and keep you trying instead of quiting.
SET GOALS. Identify why you want to learn English and use it to motivate yourself.
DO A VOCABULARY WARM-UP. Think in English about a topic related to the words at the beginig of a lesson.
KEEP A JOURNAL IN ENGLISH. Try to write a at least a paragraph every day about whatever is in your mind, your day, your goals, a new song, etc.
GRAMMAR CONTENTS
Modal verbs:can/can'tshould/shouldn't.
Predictions.
Gerunds and Infinitives.
Countable and Uncountable nouns.
Zero conditional.
Reported speech.
CONCEPTS
To express ability, opportunity, permission and recomendation.
future auxiliaries to express probable in the future.
using verbs as nouns.
difference between nous you can pluralize and the ones you can't.
express general truths.
Reporting what others said, told, ask or recommended.
Speaking tips
Pay attention to intructions and questions.
Give clear and accurate answers.
Mix shorter and longer answers.
Show interest to your classmate answers, add ideas if possible.
Use 'ER' or 'WELL' if you need time to think about your answer.
You do not need to have an English accent, but it's important to be clear, pronounce individual sounds correctly, place the stress on the right part of words and sentences.
Watch your grammar and vocabulary! they must be accurate and appropriate for the topic. It doesn't have to be perfect some mistakes won't hurt but if you notice you made a mistake use selfcorrection.
When describing a picture, talk about everything you see as well as the general idea you can get from the main image.
